Lacajou Bakery and Café, established in June 21, first came into being in 29 at a commercial kitchen located in San Franciscos SOMA district, where Matthew hand-crafted and then delivered his baked goods to locally-owned cafes. Now firmly rooted in SOMA, Lacajou Bakery and Café continues to pique the interests and appetites of Bay Area residents and to supply other coffee houses and eateries in want of a little savory or a little sweet Laca-lovin. Matthews culinary philosophy, nurtured at the California Culinary Academy, allows the flavors of organic and sustainably-produced ingredients to declare themselves, and brings them together with a sensibility shaped by his ever-present wanderlust and an array of international influences.
